Simon Jablon carves a new path with Linda Farrow Black Series

With the introduction of BLACK SERIES by LINDA FARROW, CEO and Creative Director Simon Jablon, the son of the founder and the creative force behind LINDA FARROW for the past 20 years, is steering the brand into uncharted territory. Black Series is not just a new collection, it's actually a personal statement. The capsule collection is a reflection of Simon's minimalist yet detailed design ethos, predominantly in black —a colour he often wears himself.

 

The beginning of the Black Series comes from Simon's personal affinity for understated, clean designs. "My personal love for minimalist, detailed designs in black —a colour I wear almost exclusively— sparked the idea for the Black Series," Simon shares. He doesn’t see Black Series as a break from Linda Farrow, but as an extension. "The main collection still focuses on design and craftsmanship. But the Black Series allows me to concentrate on the male product line and narrate my personal story of the male Linda Farrow experience," he says.

 

What sets the Black Series apart is its ability to articulate a different narrative, one that resonates more profoundly with male buyers. "The focus on a clean story and product-centric storyline helps our male clients understand our collection in a different light," Simon explains. This approach is redefining the brand's identity —by mirroring Simon's design philosophy. To him, Black Series is a significant opportunity to showcase the masculine styles he’s designed over the years —which, in his view, have not always received the recognition they deserve.

 

For Simon, Black Series is a canvas to express the intrinsic craftsmanship, detailing, and intellectual product development that define the Linda Farrow master brand. "We are able to clear the path and deep dive into the brand's personality," he remarks. This focus on conceptual design construction allows Simon to express his creative process and influence with Black Series, highlighting design aspects that bring him the most joy —and are likely to resonate with other men too.

 

Black Series is Simon's homage to the modern man— his personality, his tastes, and his aesthetic. Black Series is also testament to his vision of bringing a fresh narrative to men's luxury eyewear, one that seamlessly blends Linda Farrow’s legacy and brand equity with a bold new direction.
